ACTION : A New Era Begins for Victory Ring

by VictoryRing.net staff On Saturday, October 17, 2026, Victory Ring will officially launch ACTION at Centre HBCQ in Warwick, Quebec. More than just a new series of events, ACTION represents an opportunity to develop emerging talent, create new rivalries, and deliver high-quality professional wrestling at a price families can afford.

Since its beginnings, Victory Ring has worked to bring together wrestlers from Quebec and beyond, established competitors, and rising talents looking to make their mark. With ACTION, the promotion is taking another important step forward by introducing a new series that will place a strong emphasis on the next generation of professional wrestling.

The concept is simple: deliver genuine professional wrestling events, complete with meaningful stakes, championships, and ongoing storylines, while creating more opportunities for emerging wrestlers to showcase their abilities.

The inaugural edition, taking place Saturday, October 17 at Centre HBCQ in Warwick, will set the tone with six matches, including two championship encounters.

“For fans, it's an opportunity to discover today the wrestlers who could become Victory Ring's biggest stars tomorrow.”

ACTION: A New Platform for Rising Talent

Over the past several years, Victory Ring has built its identity around major events such as DOMINANCE, HERITAGE, ADRENALINE, ULTRA, MAXIMUM, and INDESTRUCTIBLE. These shows bring together established names in professional wrestling and feature the promotion's most important championships and rivalries.

ACTION will complement that lineup by providing an additional platform where emerging wrestlers can gain experience, test themselves against established opponents, and prove they deserve a greater role within Victory Ring.

However, ACTION is not intended to be a series exclusively for beginners. Quite the opposite: the involvement of champions and experienced competitors is an essential part of the concept. For rising wrestlers to improve, they need opportunities to face opponents who have already proven themselves.

ACTION will also introduce new personalities, develop alliances and rivalries, and provide additional in-ring opportunities for athletes looking to take the next step in their careers.

For fans, this means a chance to follow these competitors' progress closely and watch them evolve from one event to the next.

A Championship with Its Own Identity

One of the most significant elements of ACTION's launch is the introduction of an entirely new championship.

At the inaugural event, two wrestlers will compete to become the first-ever ACTION Champion: “The Reflection of Perfection” Mikey Thunder and “Skywalkin'” KJ Swayde.

This championship will provide another opportunity for competitors to distinguish themselves within Victory Ring. It is designed to showcase ambitious wrestlers ready to seize their moment and demonstrate that they can carry a new division on their shoulders.

The inaugural champion will have a particularly important responsibility: establishing the prestige of a title that has no history yet. The first title defenses and the rivalries that follow will help define what it means to be the ACTION Champion.

And the circumstances surrounding the inaugural championship match have already created an intriguing rivalry.

Mikey Thunder vs. KJ Swayde: A Rivalry Born at MAXIMUM

At MAXIMUM on September 19, six wrestlers competed in a match featuring a contract suspended above the ring. Whoever retrieved it would earn an opportunity to become the inaugural ACTION Champion.

Mikey Thunder ultimately secured the contract, but his victory was not without controversy.

KJ Swayde, who had delivered an impressive performance throughout the match, saw his chances compromised when Thunder took advantage of a controversial situation to gain the upper hand and claim the contract.

ACTION's newly appointed commissioner, Phil Dufour, decided to intervene. Recognizing Swayde's performance and the circumstances surrounding Thunder's victory, Dufour granted “Skywalkin'” a place in the inaugural championship match.

On October 17, the two men will have to settle their differences inside the ring.

For Mikey Thunder, it will be an opportunity to prove that his victory at MAXIMUM was more than simply a matter of opportunism. For KJ Swayde, it will be a chance to show that he deserved to be among the championship contenders from the very beginning.

By the end of the night, one of them will enter the history books as the first-ever ACTION Champion.

“The inaugural champion will have a particularly important responsibility: establishing the prestige of a title that has no history yet.”

The Heritage Championship: Bjorg Faces Xander Orion

he first edition of ACTION will feature more than the crowning of a new champion.

The Victory Ring Heritage Championship will also be defended as the “Belgian Bruiser” Bjorg faces the “Space Pirate” Xander Orion.

A member of Dominion, Bjorg has established himself as a formidable force within the promotion. His physical power and aggressive wrestling style make him an exceptionally difficult opponent to overcome.

Standing across the ring will be a very different kind of challenger. Charismatic, spectacular, and unpredictable, Xander Orion possesses the qualities needed to surprise a champion who generally prefers to impose his strength on his opponents.

For Orion, this represents a major opportunity to reach another level. Defeating Bjorg would not only make him the new Heritage Champion, but also establish him among Victory Ring's most important competitors.

This match also illustrates one of ACTION's defining characteristics: existing Victory Ring championships can be defended on the new series, and the consequences of those matches may extend far beyond ACTION itself.

Ryan Rogan: A Quick Return Following MAXIMUM

Commissioner Phil Dufour will also be keeping a close eye on another encounter, having confirmed the participation of his personal favorite, “The Vagabond” Ryan Rogan.

At MAXIMUM, Rogan endured a particularly punishing No Disqualification Match against Victory Ring Champion Mance Warner. Despite his determination, he was unable to capture the championship.

Less than a month later, Rogan will return to the ring to face Jesse Champagne.

Known as the “Prince of Old School,” Champagne will be making his return to Victory Ring. His experience and wrestling style should make him an interesting opponent for Rogan, who will need to demonstrate that he has truly recovered from his battle with Warner.

This encounter could play an important role in the future of both competitors.

Rogan will be looking to regain momentum following his defeat at MAXIMUM, while Champagne will want to make the most of his return and remind fans what he is capable of.

“The consequences of these matches may extend far beyond ACTION itself.”

McKenrose, Sophia Ravyn, and Ivessa Solayne: Three Personalities, One Winner

The women's division will also be represented at the inaugural event, with a Triple Threat Match featuring McKenrose, Sophia Ravyn, and Ivessa Solayne.

The Scottish warrior McKenrose will have to contend with two opponents making their Victory Ring debuts.

Sophia Ravyn and Ivessa Solayne will have their first opportunity to introduce themselves to the audience and demonstrate their abilities in an environment where every performance can open new doors.

A Triple Threat Match presents a unique challenge: defeating just one opponent is not enough to control the outcome, and a victory can happen at any moment without every participant being directly involved in the decision.

For the two newcomers, winning their first match would represent an impressive introduction to the promotion. For McKenrose, the goal will be to defend her position against this new competition.

With Victory Ring now having its own Women's Championship, every opportunity to stand out carries additional importance.

Wilson Colas vs. Kevin Brien: Experience Takes Center Stage

While ACTION will place a strong emphasis on developing talent, the promotion also intends to feature encounters between competitors who have already captured championships during their careers.

“The Voodoo Child” Wilson Colas, a former Victory Ring Tag Team Champion, will face Kevin Brien, a former Commonwealth Cruiserweight Champion.

For Wilson Colas, this match represents another opportunity to establish himself as a singles competitor after finding success in the tag team division.

Kevin Brien, meanwhile, brings a championship background that demonstrates his ability to compete at a high level.

Both men will be looking to put their experience to good use in a match where no championship is on the line, but where a victory could influence their future opportunities within Victory Ring.

Buddy Jacobs and Pat McHaggis Take on Northern Thunder

The tag team division will also be featured as Northern Thunder faces the unusual pairing of Buddy Jacobs and “Uncle” Pat McHaggis.

Northern Thunder, consisting of London Lightning and Storm Ryder, is an Ontario-based team looking to make its mark in front of the Warwick crowd.

On the opposite side of the ring, Buddy Jacobs enters with a particularly important distinction: he is one-half of the reigning Victory Ring Tag Team Champions, following SNOWSTORM's championship victory at MAXIMUM.

This time, however, Jacobs will not be teaming with his usual partner, Loïc Bouchard. Instead, he will be joined by Pat McHaggis.

This unexpected partnership raises an interesting question: can Jacobs and McHaggis develop enough chemistry to overcome an established team?

For Northern Thunder, defeating a reigning tag team champion could provide a compelling argument for future opportunities in the division.

Phil Dufour: A New Commissioner for a New Series

ACTION will also have its own commissioner in Phil Dufour, a familiar personality to Victory Ring fans.

His responsibilities will extend beyond simply announcing matches. He will be tasked with making decisions regarding championship opportunities, rivalries, and the overall direction of the new series.

His first major decision, granting KJ Swayde a place in the inaugural ACTION Championship match, has already demonstrated his willingness to intervene when circumstances demand it.

His openly expressed admiration for Ryan Rogan could also raise questions about his impartiality.

With a commissioner who has his own personality and preferences, ACTION will be able to develop distinctive storylines while remaining directly connected to the wider Victory Ring universe.

“Training new talent and creating opportunities to perform in front of a live audience are two complementary parts of developing the next generation.”

Another Step Forward in Victory Ring's Development

The launch of ACTION reflects a broader commitment to developing professional wrestling in the region.

By creating more opportunities to compete, Victory Ring hopes to contribute to the growth of emerging wrestlers and provide a platform for those aspiring to reach a wider audience.

This initiative also builds upon the work already underway at Victory Academy, the promotion's professional wrestling school. Training new talent and creating opportunities to perform in front of a live audience are two complementary parts of developing the next generation.

For fans, ACTION will offer another opportunity to follow wrestlers' progress, discover new faces, and witness matches that could have consequences for Victory Ring's major events.

The series will have its own identity, but it will remain part of the same universe. Victories, defeats, championships, and rivalries will all have the potential to carry over from one event to another.

“The goal isn't to present a scaled-down version of Victory Ring's major events, but a complementary format that focuses on what matters most.”

Professional Wrestling the Whole Family Can Afford

Accessibility is another central element of the ACTION concept.

With general admission tickets priced at just $10 and tickets for children aged 12 and under available for only $5, Victory Ring wants to make professional wrestling accessible to as many people as possible.

A family of two adults and two children can attend the event for just $30, before any applicable online ticketing fees.

Reserved tables for six people are also available for $65.

Despite these affordable prices, the inaugural event will feature a complete six-match card, two championship encounters, and several athletes who have already made their mark in front of Victory Ring audiences.

The goal isn't to present a scaled-down version of Victory Ring's major events, but a complementary format that focuses on what matters most: motivated wrestlers, competitive matches, and storylines that give fans a reason to return for the next event.

The Beginning of Something New

On Saturday, October 17, the first-ever ACTION Champion will be crowned. New wrestlers will make their debuts, established champions will defend their status, and several rivalries could take an entirely new direction.

But beyond the results of this first event, what matters most is the launch of a new platform for professional wrestling.

For wrestlers, ACTION will represent an opportunity to prove themselves.

For Victory Ring, it will be another way to build for the future.

And for fans, it will be one more reason to come out and support professional wrestling in Warwick.
